The importance of Biobanking: The case of Basque Biobank for Research-O+EHUN

Human tissue samples are commonly thought of as the "bridge" between molecular and clinical studies, and as such serve a critical role in helping to understand the origins of disease and the pathways to intervention. Thus, Basque Biobank for Research-OEHUN is a resource to manage human samples originated in the basque hospitals that can support a diverse range of research intended to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness.
