Conformational Change and Serpin Function

The lecture will introduce the serpin mechanism and discuss examples of how its dependence on conformational change is exploited in cofactor binding, protease recognition and clearance. It will also show how the mobility inherent in the serpin mechanism leads to unusual protein accretion disorders called the serpinopathies.
