Cancer Cell Signaling and Metabolism Lab Postdoctoral Researcher

We are seeking one highly skilled and motivated postdoctoral researcher to work on an exciting project related to the Von Hipple-Lindau Syndrome (VHL), a hereditary condition associated with tumors arising in multiple organs. The successful candidate will work on the molecular understanding and the design of new therapies for this syndrome.

The research in the Cancer Cell Signaling and Metabolism lab is aimed at defining the genuine features (signaling and metabolic alterations) of cancer cells and their environment with special emphasis on the translation of the acquired knowledge from bench to bedside. We are offering a unique opportunity to develop a research project within a dynamic research institution (CIC bioGUNE, a Center of Excellence Severo Ochoa) in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary consortium including VHL syndrome charities (Alianza Española VHL and Sendabide).

Essential skills and qualities:

  • Ph.D. degree in life sciences.
  • Prior experience in cell culture and molecular biology.
  • Prior background in animal models.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Mastery of scientific English.
  • Motivation, critical thinking, and enthusiasm.
