Laboratory Technician Internship in Cancer Cell Signaling and Metabolism

2024/10/02

The Cancer Cell Signaling and Metabolism Lab at CIC bioGUNE (Bilbao-Spain), led by Prof. Arkaitz Carracedo, focuses on deconstructing the essential characteristics of cancer cells, with a strong emphasis on translating research findings from the laboratory to clinical applications.

To uncover the fundamental traits of cancer cells, the team investigates signaling and metabolic alterations in tumors. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the lab employs bioinformatics, cell lines, primary cultures (utilizing various cell and molecular biology techniques), mouse models of prostate cancer that accurately reflect human disease and analyses human specimens through prospective and retrospective studies.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team and gain technical skills along with foundational training in laboratory management. The selected candidate is expected to start in October 2024 and will receive training in cellular and molecular biology using cancer experimental models, as well as advanced high-throughput and high-content microscopy techniques.

Application procedure:

Interested candidates, please send a full CV and a covering letter including contact information of two reference scientists using our specified form and indicating 44471 as reference.

Reception of applications, before 11th October 2024.
