1st meeting of the research groups in Euskadi working in glycosciences

The first workshop of different research groups from Euskadi working in Glycosciences, at the border between Biology and Chemistry, has taken place at CIC bioGUNE on May 15th.

A number of researchers with complementary perspectives presented their current and future investigations in order to look for synergies and for setting up a framework for developing common projects.

This initial meeting has successfully established the seed to foster the development of a potent Glycoscience network inside and outside the Basque Country.Future developments will try to attract biomedicine-oriented research, while keeping the strong chemical and biological background of the initial research teams.
