The Movember Foundation has renewed by second year the EXOSOMES GAP1 project

Thanks to this award CIC bioGUNE researchers in close collaboration with the Basurto Hospital and the BIOEF Foundation are studying a special type of small vesicles called exosomes aiming to reveal novel low invasive markers for prostate cancer. During the first year the consortium has developed new strategies to isolate these vesicles, applied on them "-omics" technologies to identify different exosomal PCa candidate markers and created a biobank collection of samples. These investigations and resources are shared in a big international consortium also funded by the Movember Foundation in an attempt to accelerate PCa research.
