The Breast Cancer Run “Marea Rosa” returns to the streets of Bilbao
The "Marea Rosa" prepares its return to Bilbao on October 8th with the eagerly anticipated solidarity race against breast cancer. This annual event is jointly organized by Acambi (Association of Breast and/or Gynecological Cancer of Bizkaia) and Urtzi gym.
The primary purpose of this race is to increase visibility and contribute to the fight against breast cancer. Acambi organizes this event with a completely solidarity-focused approach, as the funds raised are directed towards research and continuous support for the project initiated by Dr. María del Mar Vivanco, Principal Investigator of the "Cancer Heterogeneity Lab" at CIC bioGUNE – member of BRTA.
Throughout the day, the city will be painted pink with the participation of thousands of runners and walkers joining in a gesture of solidarity to show their support for those affected by breast cancer and to raise funds for research and patient support.
This event has become a symbol in the fight against breast cancer in Bilbao, and a significant turnout and collaboration from the community are expected for this crucial cause.
